Privacy Policy

M.E.F.T Labs · Effective Date: July 13, 2026

M.E.F.T Labs ("M.E.F.T Labs," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through meftlabs.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

  • Contact form submissions: name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the content of your message.

  • Any information you voluntarily share when inquiring about cultivation, education programs, research partnerships, or product ideas.

Information collected automatically

  • Standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages visited, collected through Squarespace's built-in analytics and cookies.

  • We do not currently use the Site to process payments or run an online store.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form.

  • To evaluate and follow up on cultivation, education, research, or product partnership requests.

  • To maintain, secure, and improve the Site.

  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising retargeting.

3. Cookies & Analytics

The Site runs on Squarespace, which uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and to provide us with basic visitor analytics (such as page views and traffic sources). You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how the Site functions.

4. Children's Privacy

M.E.F.T Labs's classroom programs are designed to be arranged through teachers, schools, and educational institutions — not directly with students. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the Site.

If a school or teacher shares limited contact information with us to arrange a classroom program, we use that information solely to coordinate the program and do not use it for any other purpose. If we ever learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information directly from a child under 13 without appropriate parental or school consent, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information may contact us at labs@meftlabs.com to request its review or deletion.

When we work with a school on a classroom program, the school remains responsible for its own student-data obligations under laws such as FERPA; M.E.F.T Labs acts only as a limited service provider for the specific program the school has requested.

5. How We Share Information

  • Service providers who help us operate the Site (e.g., Squarespace) and handle email (e.g., our email host).

  • When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of M.E.F.T Labs or others.

  • In connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), subject to this Policy.

We do not otherwise share, rent, or sell personal information to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain contact-form submissions and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and maintain business records, after which we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

7. Your Choices & Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email labs@meftlabs.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Note: privacy laws vary by state and country and change frequently. This section describes our general practice rather than a complete legal summary of any specific jurisdiction's law; consult an attorney if you need a definitive statement of your rights.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures — including those built into the Squarespace platform — to protect information submitted through the Site. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site links to third-party platforms such as Instagram. Those platforms have their own privacy practices, which we do not control and this Policy does not cover.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
